Laser is Dead! What's Next?

On the last day of work last year (a week ago), I put the sample on the stage, setup the electrode for recording, and started to image, then the MaiTai laser controller suddenly shut off and started to smell like circuit-board burning! The fan shut off, LCD status indicator became blank, but the electric power was somehow still on. I shut everything off, and went into the holiday break. I finally rebuilt the working 2P system few months ago, but now the heart of the 2P imaging, the femtosecond laser, is dead! The laser was from 2005, and added DeepSee function in 2010. I will contact Spectra Physics.
